About the Role
Due to expansion within our organisation, we currently have multiple opportunities for talented Mechanical Designers to join our growing team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating detailed technical drawings and documentation for a variety of projects within the resources, civil, and defense sectors.

Some of the duties you will be responsible for include:
Preparation of technical documents, such as proposal drawings, operation manuals, test plans, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
Ensuring adherence to applicable standards in all design activities.
Maintaining clarity and precision in technical information, and providing clear manufacturing instructions.
Implementation of rigorous document control procedures to ensure traceability and currency of all technical documentation.
Participation in the FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) process.
Conduct testing on prototypes and analyze test data.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and manage project expectations.
Serve as a point of contact for technical design inquiries.
Support the Quality team in inspecting manufactured components.

About You
To play a part in our continued expansion and success, we are seeking someone who ideally has:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Design
Qualifications in drafting, engineering, or mechanical trade background
Proficient in preparing 3D models and drawings, using Solidworks
Experience with the Resource sector
In addition, the following would be considered highly advantageous:
1+ years' experience in composite product design
Knowledge of applicable drafting standards
Ability to work autonomously and work on several projects concurrently
High attention to detail
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
Well versed with the Microsoft office suite of products
